The 10 Best Hotels in Benidorm

For us, the best hotel in Benidorm is Hotel Don Pancho, a Levante institution since 1972 and a place where excellence is not simply an aspiration but a prerequisite. For a quieter stay away from the bustle we would choose Nomad Resort & Spa located at the far end of Poniente, and for the Old Town vibe, Hotel Voramar.

More than any other destination, visitors to Benidorm have quite an intense relationship with the accommodation that populates every nook and cranny of this fabulous resort.

Whether it’s the food, the pool, the sun loungers, the room, the mobility scooter charging points …

One minute we love a hotel, the next we’re not so sure.

Some holidaymakers will book into the same hotel year after year, while for others they like to share the love, preferring to experience a different part of Benidorm each time they visit.

At the end of the day, every hotel genuinely gives it their best to provide a home from home for us all to enjoy our Benidorm holiday.

With well over 100 hotels to choose from, we have whittled them down to ten. Each has been visited by our team, and each is here purely on merit.

And we have new entries for 2026/27: Hotels Presidente, Nomad Resort & Spa, Primavera Park and Helios join our list.

Here’s our Top 10 Benidorm Hotels (we’re sure yours will be different) starting with our Number 1 …

Our Top 10 for 2026/27

1. Don Pancho

One of the true legacy names in the storied history of Benidorm, Hotel Don Pancho first opened its doors to an expectant public back in May 1972.

And it is fair to say that since those heady early days of the package holiday, Hotel Don Pancho has generally been regarded as one of the best, if not the best, hotels in Benidorm.

A nod to a long standing love affair with its British guests is captured by the hotel’s renowned Afternoon Tea served from October through to May, as well as a rooftop bowling green.

But it is the attention to detail and an unrelenting desire to please its guests that sets this iconic hotel apart.

Just walk into the entrance lobby and you begin to understand why a hotel first imagined by the Torrubia brothers over fifty years ago continues to be Top of the Pops for many Benilovers today.

2. Barceló Benidorm Beach

Any genuine Benidorm aficionado, maybe of a certain vintage, will recall the classic Hotel Selomar occupying this stunning location on Levante promenade.

A high-end beachfront property during the 1970s and 80s, it was the place to be back in the day, if you had enough pesetas!

After falling into disrepair for a long time and then ravaged by a fire, it wasn’t until the Barceló group pumped in over 20 million euros for the renovation that we began to see the old girl come back to life, albeit with a new moniker, Barceló Benidorm Beach.

If you love the beach and the Old Town, Barceló Benidorm Beach has an enviable position.

And now with the awesome refurb and the new B-Heaven rooftop bar with heavenly views, it flies straight into the Top 10 Benidorm Hotels list!

3. Presidente

There are not too many hotels in Benidorm where the same faces come back two or three times a year.

Hotel Presidente is one of them.

This is a full-on, lively Benidorm hotel and it makes no apology for that. It sits on Avenida de Filipinas in the heart of the New Town, with Levante Beach a flat five-minute stroll away.

A 2018 refurb smartened up the rooms, but it is the food that gets the regulars talking – thick-cut back bacon cooked to order is not something you find at every hotel’s breakfast buffet!

The saltwater lagoon pool is heated from November through to the end of March, which makes the Presidente a proper winter-sun option.

And then there is Philippines 10. Head down from the lobby to the Art Deco cabaret bar in the basement for tribute acts every night of the week – no taxi home required!

4. Nomad Resort & Spa

Not everyone comes to Benidorm for the bright lights.

And for those who would rather swap the boisterous beat for something altogether calmer, Nomad Resort & Spa is the answer.

With just 22 rooms, this is boutique in the true sense of the word. It sits on the Tossal de la Cala headland, five minutes on foot from Poniente Beach and ten from the cove at La Cala de Finestrat.

The building has a story to tell too. It began life as a 1950s hostal once owned by László Kubala, the Hungarian footballer who became a Barcelona legend.

Today the look is mid-century California meets the Costa Blanca, and every room comes with its own balcony.

Add a softly lit spa pool, an outdoor pool with a bar for cocktails and a restaurant built around Valencian produce, and you have our pick for a romantic break.

5. H10 Porto Poniente

For some, a rooftop pool can never be a good thing. But even the naysayers might make an exception for the set-up at the H10 Porto Poniente.

Decked flooring, in line with the maritime theme throughout the hotel; sunshine yellow loungers and parasols, the Marea Alta Rooftop Bar and … those views!

And then there is the location itself; step outside and you’re in Dove Park and then straight onto La Playa.

A stroll into the Old Town along one of our favourite Benidorm streets, Carrer de Sant Pere, takes only a few minutes and presents an opportunity to take a pause for a drink at the ever popular Refuel Bar and Terrace.

6. Primavera Park

OK, we love the Old Town.

And for us, the Primavera Park places you in just about the right location to feel part of the action while experiencing that little bit of style in a hotel that underwent a complete transformation back in 2022.

Overlooking Parc de l’Aigüera, and with one of the great Benidorm Skybars, this hotel ticks so many boxes it is no surprise it has become such a popular choice for Benidorm regulars.

And as we often hire a car (part of the job!) the underground car park is a blessing.

7. Port Benidorm

The Port Benidorm Hotel & Spa has an ideal position in the Rincón de Loix area of Benidorm.

Just a minute or so from Levante Beach and handy for Avenida del Mediterráneo, Port Benidorm Hotel & Spa is a firm favourite amongst the Benilover fraternity.

Formerly known as Hotel Dalmatas before the huge refurbishment and name change instigated by local Benidorm hotelier Toni Mayor, this contemporary hotel possesses an understated elegance and air of quiet sophistication that brings guests back year after year.

And the 19th floor rooftop cocktail bar, La Terrasse, offers stupendous views of the whole of Benidorm – you’ll find a thousand photos across Social Media, including on our channels!

The hotel has been so successful it now has an additional 26-storey tower, adding another 125 rooms to the property; as well as a new pool expanse, juiced up communal areas and an extension to the ‘must-visit’ roof terrace which ranks as one of, if not the best, skybars in Benidorm.

8. Ambassador Playa I & II

If your Benidorm holiday is all about being at the heart of Benidorm’s Party Zone, Hotel Ambassador Playa I & II plays all the right notes.

The twin complex is superbly laid out with fabulous pool areas, awesome bars that include The Western Saloon and The Explorers Club, and seemingly endless positive reviews from guests – especially for the food which gets a big thumbs up from the majority of British visitors.

There are many good hotels in and around the Benidorm Strip but if you had to pick one in this area, the Ambassador Playa just about nicks it.

9. Helios

Next-door neighbour to the Presidente on Avenida de Filipinas, Hotel Helios is one of those hotels that goes about its business without any fuss.

The four-star has 283 rooms, 18 of which are single rooms, and Levante Beach is just about 400 metres away.

What sets it apart is the garden.

A lawn dotted with palms and tropical plants wraps around a large heated pool – a rare patch of green in the high-rise heart of the New Town.

Evenings bring live music and shows in-house, and the crowd leans towards couples and older families.

If a proper garden matters more to you than a rooftop bar, Hotel Helios takes some beating.

10. Voramar

If urban-cool, city chic and tapas heaven are the triggers for an unforgettable holiday, head for Hotel Voramar in the bustling heart of Benidorm Old Town.

As big fans of the Old Town, where we love to combine our time checking out the intricate web of narrow streets with the occasional visit to the beaches of Mal Pas and Poniente, Hotel Voramar offers up that cityscape feel which is ideal if your version of a Benidorm holiday doesn’t have to arrive with a big hotel, big pool and an animation team!

Once you step outside of the Voramar, you’ll experience the best of Benidorm, almost on your doorstep – intimate restaurants, Basque tapas bars, the best Drag venues, gay clubs, the blue-domed church, the castle square, a choice of three beaches and just across the road from the hotel, you have the one and only Vincent’s Old Town pub.

And back inside the hotel, you have a Jazz and Soul inspired Cocktail Bar, a Roof Terrace bar and pool as well as a top notch restaurant creating a fabulous range of authentic Spanish dishes.
