Anytime in Benidorm is a good time. But, for us, the combination of Cheltenham and St Patrick’s Day has evolved to become one of the great weeks in the Benidorm calendar.
Benidorm, Cheltenham and St Patrick
So, if Cheltenham is not part of your holiday planning this year, then head to Benidorm for Cheltenham Week which takes place from Tuesday, 10th Mar 2026 to Friday, 13th Mar 2026.
It’s the next best thing. You have bars and big screens, outdoor terraces and an electric atmosphere.
St Patrick’s Day caps off the week; everyone dressed in green, the music and the craic getting louder with the Boy’s Only groups and the Girls on Tour long weekenders. All having fun in the sun.
Watching the Cheltenham Festival in Benidorm – who ever thought that would be a thing!

Cheltenham TV, Hotel Marina
So, for anyone yet to decide on the best time to book a Benidorm holiday, Cheltenham Week in Benidorm needs to be high on your list.
Pack your Irish tricolour and your best green outfit, check out the form and place a couple of bets.
You can tell the family you’re off to do Cheltenham – you just happen to need your passport to get there!
Place to Stay
Marina Resort
Bang on the Strip and in the heart of the action, the Marina Resort Hotel is arguably the place to be when the Cheltenham action gets underway.
Full on, noisy, fun.
Big Screens, Pool parties and DJ’s.
And plenty of orange!
Some might say this is better than the real thing. We would say Definitely, Maybe.

We are betting on Marina Resort!
Place to Drink (and Flutter)
Across the road from Marina Resort, situated on The Strip you have The Winning Post.
Owned and managed by Colleen Holm whose Dad opend the doors 25 years ago; this is their busiest time of the year.
Breakfast kicks off at 9AM, the 12 TV’s and big screens are switched on and, as the bar fills, the excitement grows.
Many people will tell you that Cheltenham Week in Benidorm is better than the real thing: awesome racing, great craic, blue sky, a big yellow sun and a cold pint of Guinness.
We’ll have a fiver each way on some of that!
