We remember regularly watching Benidorm CF playing at the Estadio Municipal de Foietes before the stadium was renamed Estadio Municipal de Guillermo Amor in 2010, to honour Benidorm’s favourite son, Guillermo Amor. A product of the famous La Masia, Amor played for the great Barcelona team of the early 1990s under the legendary Johan Cruyff. And now CF Benidorm are back in their spiritual home after a short hiatus, and rejuvenated since David Vila and his DV7 group took over the club last year. Flying high at the top of the league they host fifth placed Olympic CD from Xàtiva, so if you’re on holiday get yourself along. The growing British Supporters Club will be out en masse!
